  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Equipment

  • 6-quart Air Fryer
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • 2 Mixing Bowls
  • Cookie Scoop or Spoon

Method

  1. Roll the chilled mac and cheese into bite-sized balls (about 1-2 tablespoons each).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  3. In another bowl, mix Panko, Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Dip each mac and cheese ball into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the basket with oil.
  6. Place coated bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  7. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure mac and cheese is very cold and firm before rolling.
  • Freeze uncooked bites on a tray before storing for easier handling.
  • Reheat leftovers in an air fryer for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
