Method
- Roll the chilled mac and cheese into bite-sized balls (about 1-2 tablespoons each).
- In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- In another bowl, mix Panko, Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Dip each mac and cheese ball into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the basket with oil.
- Place coated bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 8-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For best results, ensure mac and cheese is very cold and firm before rolling.
- Freeze uncooked bites on a tray before storing for easier handling. Dipping sauces: Serve with marinara, ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard.
